About

My name is Matt Warren and I’m a scientific administrative assistant in downtown Seattle.
This blog is dedicated to:
- Scientific Administration
If you’re an admin assistant or an administrator working for scientists, you’ll find much to like here. The focus here is on manuscript editing/publication, grant application submissions, and generally making the lives of scientists easier where paper-work is concerned. Check out the Scientific Admin bookmark-list to the right. - Admin Hacking
If you aren’t reading Lifehacker, you need to be. The very best of their recommendations ends up here. There are many dozens of high quality – often free – resources for making the day to day minutia of your job easier. - Miscellaneous
While I’m not science professional, I love quality Lay Science reporting. The most cool and understandable articles about those matters is shared (mostly in the Lay Science bookmark list at the right). Additionally, there are any sort of inspirational Tangents that I’ll post even if it’s not quite like the rest of these works.
Please join the conversation taking place here. There are a few ways to do this:

- Subscribe via the Feedburner RSS feed.
- Contribute to the Diigo bookmarks.
- Annotate those bookmarks; let’s talk about those web-pages.
